The namwa banana, also known as "Kluai Namwa" in Thai, holds great economic significance within Thailand, due to its rapid growth, low maintenance, high yield and ability to produce fruits year-round. The National List of Essential Medicines (2013), Thailand, recognises the namwa banana flour as a suggested dosage of 10 grams, infused in 120-200 milliliters of hot water three times per day before meals as a national remedy for a multitude of ailments.
